The Distillerie du Périgord stems from the Distillerie Lapouge, founded by Émile Lapouge in 1860, in Sarlat, a medieval town located in the heart of "Perigord Noir". During more than a century, the Distillerie is renowned for the quality of its fruit eaux-de-vies:
. Already Gold Medal winner at the 1899 Brussels International Fair
. And Gold Medal winner at the 1900 Paris World’s Fair
. In 1992 Laurier d’Or Award for Quality and Tradition.
